Start to Serve.

Jesus is our passion, obsession, and motivation. Because Christ gave His all on Calvary, we give our best every day.
We believe the Church should be a beautiful expression of its people. We have been gifted to give, wired for work, and saved to serve.
We don’t just go to church — we are the Church!

Community Team

We want every person who comes through our doors to feel loved, seen, and welcomed here.

Opportunities
  • Greeters
  • New Here
  • Coffee
  • Basecamp Host
  • Auditorium Host

We believe the Church should be a beautiful expression of its people. We have been gifted to give, wired for work, and saved to serve. Community is where a guest meets that first — hospitality, greeting, connections, hosts. Serving moves you from fan to family, and it does the same for the person walking in for the first time.

This isn’t just childcare — this is the Great Commission.

Opportunities
  • Babies & Crawlers

  • 1st–5th Groups
  • Storyteller
  • Hallway
  • Check In
  • New Family

Our mission is to see kids come to know Jesus, follow Jesus, and lead others to do the same. We don’t believe kids are the church of tomorrow — we believe they are the church of today. We don’t see them as the next generation, we see them as the NOW generation. We are looking for adults, college and high school students excited about investing in the NowGen — whether as a storyteller, small group leader, professional face painter, juggler, or worship leader extraordinaire. All volunteers are trained, background checked, and supplied with the proper resources for their environment.

Wake Youth

The Now Generation is the church of today.

Opportunities
  • Small Group Leader
  • Check In Team

Wake Youth exists to elevate the name of Jesus and to create a disciple making movement in the lives of middle and high schoolers. Our mission is to see students come to know Jesus, follow Jesus, and lead others to do the same. Wake gathers Wednesday nights for 6th–12th grade — games from 5:45, worship and a message at 7, done by 9. We are looking for adults excited about investing in the NOWGEN, whether as a small group leader, mentor, or prayer warrior.

Group Leaders

The mission is always multiplication.

Opportunities
  • Equip Leader
  • Group Leader

We are putting discipleship back in the hands of everyday people. The Great Commission is our lead strategy, and we aren’t as interested in attracting attenders as we are with equipping multipliers. The church was never meant to be confined to a building — meeting in homes creates an environment where real relationships can grow, discipleship happens naturally, and following Jesus is displayed in daily life. Just like the early church, transformation happens around tables and in living rooms. The scriptural mandate of every man, woman, boy and girl is: multiply. Let us show you how.

Building Team

Help create environments for people to encounter Jesus.

Opportunities
  • Parking
  • Security
  • Building Projects
  • Holy Toast

Our heart for our building is that it would be a place where people encounter Jesus, where disciples are made, where our city is reached, and where lives are transformed — not just on Sundays, but every day of the week. Parking, security, projects, and Holy Toast keep that place open and running. Jesus invites you to be a servant, not a spectator.

Opportunities
  • Friday Night Light
  • Sandy Springs Missions
  • Fully Furnished
  • The Table

Our heart beats for the nations, breaks for the next generation, and is moved with compassion towards the masses who don’t yet know Jesus — and we run into places other people are running out of. Share the gospel in Sandy Springs and Peachtree Corners with the Reach Team. Serve the youth of Clarkston, the most diverse square mile in the country, at Friday Night Light. Tutor and disciple elementary students with Sandy Springs Missions. Deliver furniture to families starting over with Fully Furnished. Prepare food and show the Father’s love at The Table. It will be impossible for us to elevate the name of Jesus without caring for the least of these.

Opportunities
  • Holidays

Egg hunts, holidays, nights of worship — the days that are easy to invite someone to. The Event Team helps put them togehter: prep, check-in, and décor. Church is not meant to be a spectator sport. It’s an invitation to get in the game. If you can only serve a few times a year, this is your team.

Why Serve?

Jesus didn’t enlist the military or government to get his message out, he didn’t even establish programs to feed the needy, he didn’t choose fortune 500 businesses or professional sales teams, He put his message of hope into the hands of every day ordinary people who gathered together in local churches and gave their all to make His name famous in their cities and across the globe.

Church is not meant to be spectator sport, it’s an invitation to get in the game. Jesus’ invitation is an invitation to follow, not to be a fan.

Jesus invites you to be a servant, not a spectator.

Serving makes you more like Jesus.

We don’t just go to church — we are the Church. At Elevate City, we believe serving isn’t for the few, it’s for the whole family. Everyone has a part to play in what God is doing. Serving is one of the most practical ways to say “yes” to following Jesus and living on mission every day. Whether you're leading a room or setting the table behind the scenes, you're helping build a church where Jesus is over everything.

Step into the Mission:

Serving Makes your Purpose clear

You have been uniquely gifted with a part to play in building the Church of Jesus.

”As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.“

1 Peter 4:10-11
Serving Makes your Faith Grow

Those who serve get a front row seat to the miracles of Jesus.

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6 Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. 9 When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” 11 This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

John 2:1-11

If you simply attend church, without serving, you are missing out on the blessing of experiencing first hand the power of Jesus.

If you’re at a place in your faith where you’re not seeing fruit, you're not seeing growth, it may be because you aren’t experiencing or seeing Jesus’ work in action. It grows your faith.

Serving Moves you from Fan to Family

“So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. 20 Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. 21 We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. 22 Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.”

EPHESIANS 2:19-22
