Hosting future ministry leaders for the local Church and the glory of Jesus.

So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.

1 Thessalonians 2:8

What is our LDP?

Our Leadership Development Program is a 12-month residency adventure that is designed to equip future ministry leaders for Jesus-centered, discipleship-driven, & transformation-focused full-time ministry in the local church.

We call the participants in this program: Protégés

One crucial way that you can help to support the program and invest in equipping future ministry leaders is by becoming a host home for a current or future Protégés.

What is a host home?

A host home is a ministry opportunity for you to host a member of our LDP in your home for a period of time (typically a year or semester) to provide them with the housing that they need to enroll and engage in the program.

As we seek to equip 100 future ministry leaders over the next 10 years, we hope to expand, grow, and reach beyond Georgia and even the US to bring in young leaders from all over the world.

This will require our church opening up their homes and providing a place for these Protégés to rest and refuel for the adventure before them.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Elevate City/Stonecreek Church provides a modest stipend for our Proteges; however, many participants will still need to work part-time outside of their LDP commitment. By matching our Proteges with great hosts, we are able to promote their growth while preventing future financial hardship.

  • Knowing that you’re helping to build Jesus’ church by helping to equip future ministry leaders.

You will get a front row seat to seeing transformation stories take place in our Protege’s lives and in our church. We believe that by opening the doors to your home, you will be opening doors for breakthrough in our church and our community. Hosts are at the foundation of our Protege’s success.

We hope our Host and Protege pairings find a mutual benefit in establishing a long-lasting relationship beyond the duration of the program.

  • Host Homes should provide a private space (room, basement, mother-in-law suite, guest house, etc) which is furnished with essentials (bed, linens, dresser, etc). Host home environments should be safe and clean of clutter and allow for the Protege to be able to store groceries, prepare meals, utilize common spaces and laundry facilities.

Residents should not be expected to contribute to utilities or internet costs.

We also hope that Hosts will be inviting of their Protege to partake in meals, activities or conversation. These interactions are not required but will create a rich, comfortable experience for Host and Protege.

  • Great Hosts are committed to Jesus and to the mission of Stonecreek/Elevate City Church.

We find that great hosts may have even identified spiritual gifts in Hospitality, Helps, Discipleship or Mercy.

They are also able to make a commitment to provide a home for the Resident for the duration of time identified by the Host.

  • Hosts are not expected to provided transportation for their Protege. Proteges are expected to have their own transportation; adequate parking should be available at the Host Home.

  • The LDP is a 1 year commitment for Proteges. It is our objective to reduce the stress and shuffle of our Proteges between homes so they can focus on their development.

We are looking for Hosting commitments to cover the length of their program (1 year). If needed, we can always start at 6 months (one semester) in length with an evaluation to consider the ability to extend to 1 year.

  • You may decide after hosting a Protege that you could accommodate another Protege of the same gender. Please connect with our LDP staff if you would like to explore hosting another Protege. On occasion, we may have newly married Proteges without children who would benefit from being hosted in a Host’s guesthouse.

  • The LDP staff team will be checking in with Hosts throughout their hosting commitment to ensure Hosts and Proteges are comfortable and benefiting from their experience.

Hosts will be connected with the LDP staff and may connect with them anytime by email or phone. Please allow for 24 hours to respond for non-emergent communication.

  • If you feel a connection to hosting a Protege in the LDP, please prayerfully consider submitting your information following the link below to speak with a team member about taking the next steps in this journey!
